IDEX Corporation acquired Systec, Inc. for $22.4 million, a transaction completed in April 2004, structured as all cash.

Systec, Inc. operates in Pump Products Group (later Health & Science Technologies), is based in New Brighton, Minnesota, USA, had revenue of about approximately $9 million annual sales. Leader in the design and manufacture of vacuum degassing products for the analytical chemistry instrumentation market; primary products include miniaturized Teflon diaphragm vacuum pumps and controls, degassing chambers and transfer lines and spectrophotometer flow cells. Headquartered in New Brighton, Minnesota.

Degassing of fluids is critical to instrumentation and analytical chemistry markets; broadens IDEX's analytical-instrumentation fluidics.
