Spectrum Brands Holdings acquired Armored AutoGroup Parent Inc. for $1,400,000,000, a transaction completed in May 2015, structured as All-cash merger (Ignite Merger Sub, Inc., a subsidiary of Spectrum Brands, Inc., merged with Armored AutoGroup Parent Inc.).

Armored AutoGroup Parent Inc. operates in Global Auto Care (new automotive-care segment), is based in United States. Spectrum Brands Holdings acquired Armored AutoGroup, a maker of automotive appearance and performance products whose brands include Armor All and STP, along with the A/C PRO refrigerant line through its IDQ Holdings business. The all-cash acquisition added a new automotive-care platform to Spectrum's portfolio of consumer brands.

Added a leading automotive appearance and performance products platform, anchored by the Armor All and STP brands, as a new growth segment for Spectrum Brands.
