Choose repeatable work

Look for a process with recurring inputs, a recognizable output, and an existing reviewer. A quarterly borrower reporting review or a first-draft diligence request list provides a clear boundary for an initial evaluation.

Codify acceptance criteria

Agree the required sources, calculations, sections, and escalation rules before configuring the workflow. Include examples of outputs the team would reject and why — these become the negative cases in your golden dataset.

Evaluate on representative material

Use authorized sample data covering ordinary cases alongside edge cases: missing documents, inconsistent figures, amended definitions. Verify that the system surfaces uncertainty, abstains when evidence is insufficient, and respects entitlements.

Scale with the team

Review the experience with the professionals doing the work. Refine the handoffs, then add another specialist or connect an adjacent workflow. A durable agentic organization grows around the firm’s actual process, one evaluated workflow at a time.
